Refund & Return Policy
This Refund & Return Policy explains how refund requests, failed payments, duplicate payments, cancelled orders and voucher-related issues are handled on DiscountTrip, operated by Samantra Financial Services Private Limited.
1. Overview
DiscountTrip provides digital travel gift cards, e-vouchers, coupons and travel-related digital services. Since these products are delivered digitally, refund and return requests are reviewed based on order status, voucher delivery status, voucher usage status and partner/vendor confirmation.
2. Digital Product Nature
Gift cards, e-vouchers and coupons are digital products. Once a voucher code is successfully generated, delivered, viewed, redeemed or used, it may not be possible to cancel or reverse the transaction.
Important: Voucher usage, validity, redemption process and brand-specific conditions are controlled by the respective brand, travel partner or issuing vendor.
3. Refund Eligible Cases
Refund may be considered in the following cases:
- Payment was successful but order was not created due to a technical issue.
- Customer was charged more than once for the same order.
- Voucher was not generated or delivered due to system/vendor failure.
- Wrong voucher was delivered due to a verified platform-side error.
- Order was cancelled before voucher generation or before vendor/API confirmation.
4. Non-Refundable Cases
Refund may not be applicable in the following cases:
- Voucher code has already been delivered successfully.
- Voucher has been redeemed, partially used, viewed or shared by the customer.
- Customer entered wrong email address, mobile number or order details.
- Customer purchased wrong brand or wrong voucher value by mistake.
- Voucher expired due to non-usage within brand validity period.
- Brand/vendor has rejected cancellation or refund after voucher generation.
5. Refund Timeline
Approved refunds are normally initiated within 3 to 7 working days after verification. After initiation, the final credit timeline depends on the customer’s bank, payment method, card network, UPI provider or payment gateway.
6. Failed, Pending or Duplicate Payments
If money is deducted but the order is not confirmed, customers should wait for bank/payment gateway confirmation. In most failed or pending transactions, the amount is automatically reversed by the bank/payment provider.
- For failed transactions, refund/reversal is normally handled by the payment gateway or bank.
- For duplicate successful payments, the extra payment will be refunded after verification.
- Customers may be asked to share payment proof, UTR/reference number, registered mobile number or order ID for faster resolution.
7. Return Policy
Since all products sold on DiscountTrip are digital in nature, physical return is not applicable. Digital vouchers cannot be returned once generated, delivered, accessed, redeemed or used.
8. Cancellation Policy
Order cancellation is possible only before voucher generation or before confirmation from the vendor/API partner. Once the voucher is generated or delivered, cancellation may not be possible.
9. Customer Support
For refund or order-related support, customers can contact us with their order ID, payment reference number, registered email and mobile number.
